Queen Elizabeth National Park is understandably Uganda’s most popular tourist destination. The park’s diverse ecosystems, which include sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes, and fertile wetlands, make it the ideal habitat for a classic big game, ten primate species including chimpanzees, and over 600 species of birds.

Most of Queen Elizabeth comprises open grassland and savannah which tends to be moist and woody in the west than the eastern part, Thorny Acacia dominates this savannah habitant with the high concentration of candelabra shrub a cactus that grows along the kazinga channel and on the kasenyi plains.

Queen Elizabeth supports at least 95 species of mammals,it boasts of 20 carnivores like the Lion,Leopards, side stripped jackal and spotted hyena among others.

Itinerary

After an early breakfast in your hotel, our driver- guide will meet you and drive you Southwest words to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Stopover at the Equator a famous spot for photography. From here continue with the journey to Mbarara City for the lunch after which you proceed to the park traversing the Acacia woodland, long horned ankole cattle and Ishaka tea plantations. On arrival in, go for an evening game drive to spot on different wildlife like the Uganda kob, antelopes, elephants, baboons, hippos, buffaloes, chimps, leopards and many other small animals and the different plant species.

After an early breakfast, enjoy the sunrise by taking an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track, Queens mile and expect to see Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions, Kobs, Waterbuck, among others and if lucky the shy Leopard and Spotted Hyena. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation at the swimming pool site. In the afternoon, go for a spectacular boat cruise on Kazinga Channel to view the amazing bird life and a variety of wild animals like the hippos, crocodiles among others. Evening sightseeing around the volcanic crater area and Baboon fence is amazing! Return to your lodge

After any early morning breakfast, start on the journey back to Kampala. Another opportunity yet to see Acacia woodland, long horned ankole cattle and Ishaka tea plantations among others. A stopover in Mbarara City for lunch after which you proceed with the journey to Kampala to your hotel.
